Los Cabos is located at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, Mexico, 220 km south of La Paz. It is a renowned tourist destination famous for its beaches, water sports, and vibrant nightlife.
They refer to two different things and can easily be confused with one another. Los Cabos is a municipality that includes the town of Cabo San Lucas, as well as the nearby town of San José del Cabo, and the coast between them, which are joined by a 33-kilometer tourist corridor.
Its climate is semi-arid desert, hot in summer and temperate in winter, with an average annual temperature of 26°C. Although rainfall is scarce, the rainy season officially extends from June to October; however, the rains tend to be concentrated during August and September.
The hurricane season in Cabo San Lucas runs from July to November, with the most intense rainfall occurring between August and October. Although infrequent, tropical storms may occur. Traveling in the fall offers great discounts and opportunities. Despite occasional rain, you can enjoy spas, shopping, and relaxing while waiting for the sun to return.
The Los Cabos International Airport (IATA: SJD, ICAO: MMSD), with direct flights from North America, is 11km (7 miles) from San José del Cabo and 45km (28 miles) from Cabo San Lucas. It features renovated terminals for greater comfort. Its secluded location ensures tranquility on the beach, without the noise of planes interrupting your rest.
For your safety and comfort, our yachts only sail in optimal conditions. Although some people may occasionally get seasick, we recommend taking motion sickness medication 30 minutes before the trip if you think you might feel unwell.
When several passengers feel seasick at the same time, it is usually due to a hangover or previous food poisoning, not the yacht’s movement. We don’t doubt how the group feels, but even a mild hangover can be accentuated on board. Remember, you are on vacation in Cabo and we want you to enjoy it to the fullest!
We definitely recommend three hours for an optimal experience. Some guests love to be out longer, and we are willing to do so for an additional cost.
